COVID-19 Guidelines

We want you to feel comfortable

We know some of you will be feeling so excited about coming in to see us while others will be feeling somewhat nervous and anxious. It is our goal that every single one of you can feel comfortable with the current COVID-19 pandemic.

We are kindly asking you that you:

Arrive alone for your appointment
Wait in your car or outside in fresh air if you are early for your appointment. We appreciate your prompt arrival
If you are late, we may have to reschedule
Wash your hands when you arrive at Kensington MediSpa. We will have a designated bathroom
There will not be a reception area for you to wait, therefore after washing your hands you will be escorted straight into your appointment
Keep a space of 2 metres between you and anyone else
Do not touch or shake hands with anyone
Please bring your bank card or contactless payment as it will be cashless payments only

We are also asking our clients to reschedule their appointment if:

You have experienced any cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days
Have been in contact with anyone with cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days

You will have a slightly different experience than before:

Apart from water, our beverage service has been suspended. We also request that you refrain from bringing any food from outside
Please limit the amount of personal items you bring with you. Anything brought in will always need to be kept with you
Appointments are spaced out to reduce the number of clients present and to allow extra time for cleaning/sanitisation
Sanitisation will take place in between clients. As well as more frequent cleaning of high touch common area surfaces such as door handles, card terminals, bathrooms and reception area will be cleaned throughout the day
We will deep clean everyday to ensure a safe environment for our staff to operate and clients to feel comfortable
All of our staff will be wearing the correct PPE as per government guidelines 
In order to limit the consultation time during your appointment. We will be sending an email with the details of how your treatment is conducted as well as ‘frequently asked questions’. You will also be offered a zoom consultation if you require any further information prior to your appointment
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we would be happy to help

Your appointment will also be different 

To reduce consultation time you will be offered a zoom call with a member of our team to discuss your treatment and answer any questions. 

Staff will maintain 2 meters social distancing were possible

All treatments will be carried out with staff wearing PPE. This includes, shield, gloves and an apron. 

After every treatment staff will;

Disinfect treatment room
Discard all PPE used
Wash and disinfect hands 
Clean all tools and professional products used

Rest assured that your safety is paramount. It is our intention to make your appointment with us smooth and safe as possible.

Introducing…PROFHILO® at Kensington MediSpa

PROFHILO® at Kensington MediSpa

Within the field of aesthetics new products are often introduced and after the initial buzz that is generated both practitioners & patients realise that unfortunately it doesn’t live up to the hype. This however is not the case with PROFHILO® and since its launch in March 2015 I have consistently heard positive things and seen excellent results.  In fact, Profhilo has won multiple awards in the aesthetics industry including an award for the best injectable product in Europe.

What is it?

Profhilo was developed by IBSA Italia and contains 64mg of natural, non-cross-linked hyaluronic-acid. It is important to know that it is not a dermal filler.  Profhilo does not stay where it is injected, instead it spreads beneath the skin so works throughout the tissues to hydrate, lift and contour.

What is it used to treat?

It provides intense hydration to the skin making it appear brighter and stimulates collagen and elastin to treat skin laxity.  Areas that can be treated include the face, neck, upper chest and hands.

Is it safe?

PROFHILO is very biocompatible.  It is a highly purified natural hyaluronic acid that does not contain any chemical agents to modify the structure.  The risk of adverse reactions are therefore very low.

What does the procedure involve?

For the face, the procedure consists of five injection points on each side.  These five points (see diagram below) are known as Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) and were selected to maximise the spread of the product. The procedure takes around 5-10 minutes and there is minimal down time.  Swelling resolves within 1-5 days.

When will I see results?

A course of two treatments are recommended 4 weeks apart.  Improvement in skin hydration is seen within 4 weeks and improvement in skin laxity is seen 4 weeks after the second treatment.

Before/ Afters

The pictures below demonstrate the improvements in skin texture and hydration from Profhilo. The bioremodelling effect results in improvements in skin laxity.
